Humility
ENG:
The grain is the symbol of birth. It’s the gift from our nature, which has been one of the most important sources of food for our ancestors. Strong harvest meant life, which was one of the reasons for them to take good care of their land and to treat it gently. The theme of grain also often appears in biblical themes: “May God give to you–from the dew of the sky and from the richness of the land–an abundance of grain and new wine.” [Genesis 27:28] Nowadays almost everyone perceives a certain diversion from the original principles and human nature. Relationship to nature is amongst one of those. So I created a piece of jewellery with the theme of ears of grain, as a symbol of the humility of humans to nature.

Obilí je symbolem zrození. Je to dar přírody, který byl pro naše předky jedním z hlavních zdrojů potravy. Silná úroda znamenala přežití, proto lidé svou půdu šetrně opečovávali a šetrně s ní nakládali. Motiv obilí se často objevuje v biblických námětech: „Ať Hospodin dá ti nebeskou rosu, úrodnou zem, obilí i víno v hojnosti.“ [Genesis 27:28] Dnes již takřka každý vnímá jistý odklon od původních zásad a lidské přirozenosti, mezi které patří i vztah k přírodě. Vytvořila jsem tedy šperk s motivem obilných klasů, který symbolizuje pokoru člověka k přírodě.
